About

I am a 26 year old professional living right outside Washington DC.  In July 2009, I decided I was done with being overweight.  I’ve always been deceptively healthy and curiously strong, but one day that might go away.  I decided to start working out at the gym across from my office.  About a week later, I began working my personal trainer, Braids, who has the wonderful job of keeping me on track and motivated.

I began this blog as a measure of accountability.  When I have a bad day, instead of running to the fridge, I get to run to this blog to let out my frustrations.  When I have a great day, I can’t wait to blog about my triumphs. I used to celebrate with a glass of wine and a piece of cake. Now I celebrate with a post. Words have no calories.

Please enjoy my little corner of cyberspace–I welcome blog comments and encouragements–and criticisms too. Tell your friends about it. The more readers I have, the more pressure I’m under to keep the work outs going and the meals healthy.

…no day but today…
